ADDITIONAL RESOURCES:
Welcome to this mindfulness meditation for dealing with year and stress. This meditation will last for five minutes. I will mind the time. At the beginning and the end of the meditation, you will hear me ring a soft bell.
(00:43.85)
Find a comfortable and quiet place where you can sit or lie down. Close your eyes gently and begin by taking a few deep breaths, inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth.
(01:02.45)
Allow your body to relax with each breath. Feel the tension melting away from your muscles as you continue to breathe deeply and calmly.
(01:17.044)
Bring your awareness to the present moment. Notice any thoughts or feelings that arise about the end of the year, such as deadlines, accomplishments, or any worries that you may have.
(01:34.332)
Acknowledge these thoughts without judgment. Imagine each thought as a leaf floating down a gentle stream, gently passing by you as you remain rooted and calm.
(01:52.608)
Shift your focus to your breath. Notice the sensation of the air entering your nostrils, filling your lungs, and then leaving your body. Allow your breath to anchor you in the present moment.
(02:10.642)
As you continue to breathe mindfully, bring your attention to your body. Notice any areas of tension or discomfort that may be holding stress.
With each exhale, imagine releasing this tension, allowing it to dissolve into the ground beneath you.
(02:32.54)
Now bring to mind moments of gratitude from this past year. Reflect on your successes, the lessons you've learned, and the experiences that have shaped you. Allow yourself to feel a sense of appreciation for all that you have accomplished.
(02:54.91)
Visualize yourself letting go of any lingering stress or negativity from the year. Picture it leaving your body with each exhale, making space for peace and clarity.
Continue to breathe deeply and gently for a few more moments, allowing yourself to fully relax and unwind.
(03:24.372)
When you feel ready, gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Wiggle your fingers and your toes. Slowly open your eyes and take a moment to ground yourself in the present moment.
Carry this sense of calm and clarity with you as you navigate the remainder of the year.
